Marie Toma
Marie
Toma comes to JorgensenHR in 2000 with over 20 years of in-depth
experience in management and human resources. Prior to coming to
JorgensenHR, Marie was VP of Human Resources for a nation-wide medical
management corporation. She has successfully integrated the Human
Resources function for three mergers and acquisitions and the needs of
dynamic organizations with the demands of the ever-changing workforce,
leading companies away from conflict to create team-oriented
organizations with positive, open communications.
Ms. Toma has proven herself to be a proactive business partner to
CEO’s and senior executives. She is proficient in all areas
of Human Resources: employment, employee relations, training,
benefits, compensation, and risk management. Projects include:
Employee Handbooks, Employee Relations, Job Descriptions, Developing HR
Infrastructure, Strategic Planning & Goal Setting; and Training on
HR 101, Team Building, Conflict Management, Performance Management,
Sexual Harassment, Motivating Employees, and Legal Requirements for
Supervisors.
Marie is active in several organizations: Professionals in Human
Resources Association, past Board Chair (PIHRA); Member of Consultants
Forum for Society of Human Resources Professionals (SHRM); American
Society of Training & Development (ASTD), Association of
Professional Consultants.
Ms. Toma has a MA in Organizational Management and a BS in Business
Management. Certifications as: Senior Professional in Human
Resources (SPHR), Baldrige State Examiner for Performance Excellence
Award Program, Employment Discrimination Law from USC, DISC model
trainer, Professional Designation in Human Resources Management from
UCLA, and Total Trainer Program certification from the American Society
of Training and Development (ASTD).
