Vera Mae Walsh

Vera Mae Walsh originally joined JorgensenHR as a Consultant in 1998 and re-joined in 2004.  She has more than 25 years experience in Human Resources Management. At AbilityFirst, a not-for profit servings adults and children with developmental disabilities, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Mitsubishi Bank of California, she was a senior executive in Human Resources.  Ms. Walsh’s areas of expertise include employee relations, employer compliance, compensation, benefits, change management, management training, diversity, expatriate coaching, workers compensation and safety. She has effectively managed Human Resources integration matters in four mergers/acquisitions in both the public and private sectors.


Ms. Walsh earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara and completed a graduate level Organizational Leadership Academy for Transportation Executives at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.  Professional memberships include the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Human Resources Knowledge Network (HRKN).  Previous affiliations include the Los Angeles Human Resources Association, Los Angeles Compensation and Benefits Association, the Affirmative Action Association for Financial Institutions, American Public Transportation Association and the Bank Administration Institute.   Community affiliations include the American Association of University Women, the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Los Angeles, and UCSB Alumni Association.
