JorgensenHR
was started in 1984, after the highly successful Olympic Games in Los
Angeles. Karen Jorgensen, the founder of JorgensenHR, managed the
personnel activity for a staff of 7000 transportation employees for the
games. Prior to the Olympics, she was Human Resources VP of Goldenwest
Broadcasting with Gene Autry. While working for several different
CEO´s during the sale of Autry´s properties to various
entertainment entrepreneurs, Karen realized there was an opportunity in
the marketplace for companies to receive executive-level human
resources advice during times of transition. After the games, she
decided to create a business, helping CEO´s with human resources
issues.
Karen´s vision was to create a consulting practice that provided
high-level support to businesses in transition. She had the help of her
sons, who provided the office and computer support. Linda Harris joined
JHR in the 90's and became the president in 2002. Now JorgensenHR
is a highly respected firm with seasoned, professionally-recognized
consultants servicing over 1,000 corporate clients in 20 industries
with all levels of HR support.
The consultants of the firm have worked for JorgensenHR for several
years. Unlike large consulting practices that hire MBA´s, our
consultants have all been high-level human resources directors in
corporate firms. They understand the importance of internal values,
relationships, and company missions. Since most have worked in the
personnel discipline, they can implement and teach, as well as deliver.
Three consultants have over 10 years of experience with JorgensenHR.
The others have all either worked with Karen in corporate life, or were
former clients. Their work is impeccable, and each consultant has a
unique gift of caring for the outcomes of the projects they undertake.

which we customize to save our clients time and money. JorgensenHR has

work flow designs that allow consultants to implement processes
quickly. Our templates have been used effectively in many organizations
and have stood the test of time. We have a full staff of office
personnel. JorgensenHR has a large networked computer system and can
provide documents in a wide variety of system languages. We provide a
phone advisory service for clients to call in with questions during
normal business hours to get immediate response.
JorgensenHR is proud of the service its staff has provided to the
profession and to the community. The consultants have been active
members of many professional associations, such as American
Compensation Association, Society for Human Resource Management, and
Professionals in Human Resources Association. They have held offices
and been on executive committees, as well as trained other human
resources professionals through workshops and conferences. Several of
the consultants teach human resources at the college and graduate
level. The firm has been active in promoting the human resources
profession in California.
